Join Urban Green’s Emerging Professionals on a tour of the Gowanus Canal. Focusing on resiliency and waterfront, the tour will highlight the 2021 Gowanus Neighborhood Plan that was the result of a decade-long process of engagement with multiple stakeholders.

Come explore a neighborhood at the center of transformation, and learn how the neighborhood’s rezoning presents a framework for civic accountability. The tour will highlight realized and future impacts of the Neighborhood Plan with a particular focus on canal waterfront access, and what other rezoned neighborhoods can learn from Gowanus.

Tour attendees will meet us at Carroll Street Bridge. The route includes: Gowanus Station House, Sponge Park, 6th Street Green Corridor, and more. Then join us for a happy hour at Finback Brooklyn!

This event is in collaboration with the Department of City Planning (DCP) and Gowanus Canal Conservancy (GCC). Joining us will be:Â
