Course overview

GPRO Construction Management provides practitioners with sustainability best practices and actionable strategies for every phase of construction, as well as how to avoid common mistakes. Taught by highly knowledgeable industry professionals, participants will leave the course with practical steps to direct and manage  successful, sustainable, and cost-effective projects.

What you’ll learn

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the key coordination issues and documentation requirements that are unique to high- performance construction at each stage of a project.
  • Describe responsibilities of the CM and project team to ensure building performance.
  • Implement sustainable construction processes and communicate required information to subcontractors and trades.
  • Coordinate testing, inspection, and commissioning activities to ensure intended performance

Who is this for

This 8-hour training is ideal for a range of construction professionals, including: construction managers, general contractors, experienced tradespersons, trade forepersons, owner’s representatives, project managers, site superintendents, estimators, students and others interested in entering the building and construction industry.

How it works

This class session will be held over two days and held over virtually Zoom.

Day 1: Tuesday, October 22, 9:00am – 1:00pm
Day 2: Thursday, October 24, 9:00am – 1:00pm

Registration includes access to six on-demand electives and an online exam. Students who pass the exam with an 80% or higher become a GPRO Certificate Holder.

DE is a New York City based environmental consulting firm that assists Building Owners to comply with LL97 and the New York City Energy Conservation Code (NYCECC). Daniel is an Environmental Engineer with experience in all types of NYC construction, from large-scale ground up commercial, to smaller scale institutional Museums and Libraries.
