What is this training about?
In GPRO Operations & Maintenance Essentials you’ll learn how to execute the best practices of sustainable building operations and leave with an individualized action plan. You’ll learn useful tools to measure building performance and straightforward strategies to reduce energy consumption and costs.

By the end of this training, you will be able to:
- Take a systemic approach to operating and maintaining a building
- Evaluate building performance
- Describe three immediately actionable next steps needed to improve the health and efficiency of your building
- Explain the costs and benefits of efficiency measures
Who is this training for?
This training is ideal for property managers and building staff in both residential and high-rise commercial buildings, including: building superintendents, operators, facility and property managers, operating engineers and stationary engineers.
How much does this training cost?
Thanks to NYSERDA and Urban Green Council’s partnership with the NYC Accelerator, this $400 training is FREE for all audiences.
How does this training work?
Class sessions will be held over four days virtually on Zoom, led by a highly knowledgeable instructor with industry experience.
Day 1: Wednesday, September 9, 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Day 2: Wednesday, September 16, 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Day 3: Wednesday, September 23, 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Day 4: Wednesday, September 30, 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Registration includes access to a course ebook, flashcards, practice exam, and the official GPRO exam in addition to six on-demand electives. Students who pass the exam with an 80% or higher become a GPRO Certificate Holder.
