For Earth Day 2025, we have compiled a list of upcoming events and opportunities to celebrate our earth and engage in positive change to improve our climate!
April 17
Earth Day 2025 Festival • 12 pm – 6 pm • In person
Explore exhibits by dozens of environmental non-profits, climate campaigns, green living experts, and sustainable businesses! Check out a Clean Energy Exhibition in partnership with Con Edison, interactive workshops, live performances from Hila the Earth and APO HAHA CALYPSE and climate-themed art.
April 19
Building a Collapsible Trellis for Growing Food Vine Plants • 11 am – 1:30 pm • In person
Come learn how to create a foldable trellis to support tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, and beans. This is a beginner-friendly course that covers vine plant needs, trellis design, tools and step-by-step construction.
April 21
3rd Annual Climate Change Film Festival • 12 pm – 6:30 pm • In person
Join NYU for climate-focused events and films that present innovative solutions to improving our environment.
April 22
Earth Day Tree Planting in Bronx Park • 9:30 am – 12 pm • In person
Help preserve a vital habitat by planting native trees in Bronx Park. This event may involve heavy lifting, squatting and physical exertion. Protective clothing and a personal water bottle are recommended.
Greenway Earth Day – LaGuardia Community College • 12 pm – 4 pm • In person
LaGuardia is partnering with the Sustainability Council to host the Annual Earth Day Festival, which will include an array of activities led by environmental groups across New York City.
April 23
Plant-Based Food Festival Spring 2025 • 11 am – 2 pm • In person
Enjoy free samples of delicious, innovative plant-based food and vegan cosmetics and check out tabling by animal advocacy groups.
April 26
Open Streets: Car-Free Earth Day • 10 am – 4 pm • In person
See public art and programming presented at signature locations citywide. The information shared will promote activism and education surrounding climate change, sustainability, and other relevant topics.
April 25 – 27
Earth Day Weekend – Wave Hill • All day • In person
A family-friendly event where attendees can absorb the nature around them during a wellness walk. Hands-on activities include the Family Art Project, Scavenger and Decomposer Petting Zoo, mushroom cultivation workshop and the Woodland Community Volunteer Workday.

Broadway Celebrates Earth Day • 11 am – 3 pm • In-person and online
Come see stars on Broadway perform in celebration of Earth Day! Line up will include:
