The building envelope occupies a large portion of the Residential energy code because of its outsized impact on energy performance. As a huge driver of energy use, it’s critical that the envelope is designed and built to code. Crushing the Code NYS: Residential Envelope prepares building and design professionals in New York State to comply with the residential envelope requirements in the 2020 Energy Conservation Construction Code of New York State (ECCCNYS).

In this session, students will examine the ingredients for a code compliant building envelope and how they are incorporated into the 2020 ECCCNYS residential provisions.
