ADDRESSING 80x50 HEAD-ON
New York City—the country’s most important city—must lead on climate change. No other city has the presence and influence to do so. And it’s only going to happen with deep reductions in building energy use, which is responsible for the lion’s share of greenhouse gas emissions.
That's why Urban Green exists and why our strategic plan is focused on ensuring NYC reduces emissions 80 percent by 2050. We've already made important headway, with a 14 percent reduction in large building emissions. But we can only get all the way with more resources to do the job.
The Campaign for Urban Green is our $3-million fundraising campaign to meet this challenge.
We're fortunate to have received early support for the campaign from the sustainability leaders below. We hope you'll join, too, with a multi-year gift.
