Industry pro Michael Deane and Urban Green's Ellen Honigstock sit down to discuss the wide spectrum of innovations that live at the intersection of sustainability and construction.

This conversation touches on ways to attain zero waste construction and how anyone involved in the process can contribute to eliminating waste.

  • The concept of a circular economy and how it applies to the construction industry.
  • Key differences between waste elimination by design and typical design practices.

Michael Deane is Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer at Turner Construction Company, a LEED BD+C Accredited Professional, and a LEED Fellow. His responsibilities include developing and implementing sustainable policies and procedures for Turner’s national and international operations, green building training, operational oversight and sales.
