BRINGING BUILDINGS TO LIFE THROUGH AUTOMATION

In the past 10 years, we’ve seen a tremendous expansion of smart buildings. Many buildings already use smart technologies, and rapid advances in automation ensure that implementation will continue to grow.

At last week's sold-out Cross-Learning Alliance event, we explored how building automation can improve energy performance and tenant wellness. Attendees heard from design professionals, building owners, energy managers and automation experts about the benefits of implementing smart technologies, and the real challenges and risks that remain.

Missed the event? Dig into our Smart Building Summit Recap.

HISTORIC BUILDING EMISSIONS LEGISLATION

Tomorrow, New York City Council will vote on Intro 1253, legislation that sets emissions caps on the city's largest buildings. If passed, it would be the most ambitious climate legislation for buildings enacted by any city in the world.

Urban Green is following this legislation closely. Visit our website after the vote for the most up-to-date information and resources on this landmark bill.

Learn more about the suite of climate bills being voted on tomorrow in the Huffington Post.

2019 CONFERENCE

If New York City Council passes Intro 1253 tomorrow, large buildings will have to meet strict carbon emissions caps. To comply, building retrofits will have to occur on a scale never before experienced in NYC—or anywhere else.

Join us at Retrofitting to Scale on June 18 to explore solutions for NYC and other metro areas over three thought-provoking sessions.
