GLOBAL EFFICIENCY CLIMATE TRADING

On September 10, Urban Green convened the second meeting of the Global Efficiency Climate Trading Committee. Consisting of more than 20 experts, the committee is identifying key program design questions and a menu of policy options to inform the city’s study on building carbon trading required by Local Law 97.

At this meeting, the committee reviewed precedent programs such as the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), and the Washington D.C. stormwater retention credit trading program. The committee also provided input on the categories of questions to guide the initiative.

GLOBAL EXCHANGES: BERLIN FORUM

Urban Green is excited to partner with the Berlin Chamber of Commerce and NYU Tandon for a Global Exchanges forum on energy and sustainability opportunities in large cities on September 16.

Presenters at the forum include Urban Green Senior Advisor Laurie Kerr, Ramona Pop, the Deputy Governing Mayor of Berlin and Senator for Economics Energy and Public Enterprises, executives of major German companies, and NYSERDA representatives.
