THE CASE FOR CARBON REMOVAL

Last year, for the first time in human history, atmosheric carbon dioxide surpassed 400 parts per million (PPM). This is well above the 350 PPM that consensus science agrees is needed to maintain a stable climate. Eliminating new emissions is no longer sufficient—we need to also consider carbon removal techniques.

Next week, we'll be speaking with negative-emissions experts about how these new technologies are advancing and the future of the carbon capture industry in New York City.

A'18: Hyper Efficient Buildings TRAINING

We're partnering with the AIA Conference on Architecture (A'18) to offer a full-day training on how Passive House techniques can be used to help the city comply with Local Law 31, which requires new capital projects for city-owned properties to use 50 percent less energy.
