In this GPRO Fundamentals of Building Green online course, you will learn how to see buildings differently and discover strategies to make them efficient, healthy and resilient.

GPRO Fundamentals is designed for a range of real estate, construction, architecture and engineering professionals. This course is ideal for anyone who needs a better understanding of high-performance building, including sales or administrative staff in real estate, construction, architecture or engineering, workforce development providers, facilities and operations support staff, and college students interested in entering the building and construction industry.

  • Energy-consuming building systems and some strategies to reduce building energy use


  • Registration includes a course e-book and the online exam session. Students who pass the exam with an 80% or higher become a GPRO Certificate Holder.
  • GPRO Fundamentals qualifies for 4 AIA and GBCI CE Credits.

Molly’s passion for applying critical deep green theory to practical problem-solving found a home within ILFI. As a member of the Technical Services team, she supports project teams around the world in their pursuit of the Living Building Challenge and Core Green Building Certification. She also coordinates the Institute’s policy program initiatives by identifying policy barriers and providing resources, research, toolkits, education, and advocacy to remove these obstacles. She specializes in on-site water reuse systems, permitting innovative water systems, feasibility studies and design reviews, and discussing the integration of equity and justice into design. Molly grew up in Seattle before traveling south for her degree in Environmental Analysis from Scripps College.
