At this month's Educational Forum, we welcomeᅠPatricia Olmstead,ᅠFounder and PrincipalᅠofᅠUrban Explorations Inc.ᅠwho will give a presentation onᅠSustainable Landscape Trends. Pat has been in the landscaping business for over twenty years. She holds a certificate in Landscape Design from the New York Botanical Garden and a Horticultural Therapy certification from the Chicago Botanical Garden. With her staff, Pat has used landscaping techniques and "evidence-based design" principles to improve the health and well-being of both patients AND their families in unique settings.

During this one hour presentation, Pat will touch upon many aspects of sustainability in the traditional landscape and delve into solutions and local examples highlighting innovations of old concepts. Among other topic areas, join us to hear her discuss the use of native plants, green roofs, cool roofs, garden facades, vertical gardening, green and living walls. We will also learn more about evidence-based designs ? therapeutic and restorative gardens.

As always, networking will continue at ourᅠ*mandatory* extended happy hour(s)ᅠat the Heartland Brewery afterwards!ᅠ
