Bill Browning Discusses Biophilic Design for Cities
Biophilic Design: A powerful concept which stipulates that recognition and understanding of our species and connection to the natural world must be central to our design process.

In a presentation specifically developed for Urban Green Expo 2009, Master Speaker Bill Browning will explore recent case studies informed by the award-winning principles of biophilic design and describe how these principles can apply to the retrofitting of existing buildings and transform the face of urban living.
Browning is a partner at Terrapin Bright Green and helped build Buckminster Fuller's last experimental structure, based on advanced geometric systems. In 1991, he founded Green Development Services at Rocky Mountain Institute, an entrepreneurial, non-profit “think and do tank” whose work advances energy-efficient and environmentally-responsive design.
