On July 29th, Building Energy Systems will discuss a selection of proposals that address boilers, chillers, and controls and examine the technical challenges to their successful implementation. Panelists for both events include experts from JB&B, Related Companies, Vornado Realty Trust, Viridian Energy, and CUNY Performance Lab. Get additional details.

Tour: Green Roof at Goode Green July 20th at 176 Grand Street
When Chris and Lisa Goode acquired a six story commercial building in the heart of Little Italy in 2002, the goal was to develop the building and build a rooftop residence with a large outdoor space. As the Goodes started to design the space, a green roof presented itself as the optimum installation for comprehensive rooftop garden design. At the time, there was little information on green roofs and the Goodes did their own research and tests. As the general contractors for the development of the building, they took on the green roof installation as another element. The result is an expansive and diverse 6,000 square foot garden installed in 2005. See tickets & details.
