Oppositions May 27th at Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House USGBC New York announces Oppositions, a new educational series designed to engage the most thoughtful voices in the green building movement on the most current and controversial subjects of the day. The topic for the first session is Glass vs. Mass. Many high profile green projects feature all-glass skins, and the public has begun to see these buildings as icons of sustainable architecture. While glass is a highly sustainable material, and daylighting is clearly a plus, are these benefits outweighed by poor energy efficiency? Glass vs. Mass will illuminate both sides of this current debate. Tickets and details here. AIA HSW/SD 1.5
