Technical Review Workshop: LEED NC v2.2
March 20th at Con Edison
The LEED NC v2.2 exam will be retired on June 30th, 2009. Registration for the LEED NC v2.2 exam ends on March 31st, 2009.  This course forges beyond the basics using examples, case studies and exercises to reinforce learning. Attendees should have a firm grasp of USGBC and LEED. Full-day program includes a light breakfast, lunch, and coffee, sign up here.

ASHRAE Standard 189 and the Future of LEED
March 23rd at U.S. Custom House, Auditorium
Please join ASHRAE New York for an overview of LEED by Dr. Tom Lawrence, who will discuss the current status and proposed content of ASHRAE Standard 189: Standard for High Performance Green Buildings, Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings. Standard 189 attempts to balance the environmental factors involved in the design, construction, and operation of buildings, with an emphasis on the areas that are of particular interest to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers. More information, and tickets here.

USGBC White Paper: The Legal Risk of Green Building
USGBC National recently convened a small working group of four attorneys who are leaders in the green building legal community and who are familiar with LEED certification. The members of the group engaged in a discussion of what new legal theories have been advanced in the context of green buildings, and this paper outlines the highlights of that discussion.
