Urban Green Screen Documentary: Earth Days
On March 3rd, Urban Green will host an advance screening of Robert Stone’s Earth Days. This highly anticipated film explores the dawn and development of the modern environmental movement. Mr. Stone’s award-winning, critically acclaimed work includes Guerilla: The Taking of Patty Hearst (2004), Oswald’s Ghost (2007) and, most recently, the Civilian Conservation Corps film for the PBS American Experience series. TOUR: AECOM Design and Planning Office Feb 25th at AECOM
Join Urban Green Council for a tour of the AECOM's New York Design and Planning Office, which recently achieved LEED CI Gold Certification for the innovative use of sustainable design elements. The open office layout serves 40 staff members of the 40,000-person firm. The design involved the retrofitting of space in an existing 1910 Garment District building by utilizing recycled materials, low-flow water usage and energy efficient office conditioning systems. High Performance Green Building Salon: Optimizing Energy Use in Sustainable Corporate Interiors March 18th at Knoll

The architects gutted the 22,500 square-foot space with the intent of using daylight as the primary means of illumination.
