02-05-10: Green Codes Proposals Released

February 5, 2010

Green Codes Task Force Proposals & Events

On February 1st, the NYC Green Codes Task Force released its 111 recommendations, reflecting the expertise and input of more than 200 professionals, and covering a broad spectrum of issues that should be addressed in New York's building code. Over the course of 2010, Urban Green will offer a number of educational programs that will dig deeper into the details of some of the most important or technically challenging proposals. These proposals will be organized within broad subject areas, such as Building Systems or Stormwater, with a distinct focus on the technical components of their implementation. See the planned events for this series and look out for more announcements in our newsletter. Read the Executive Summary and Full Proposals.

Urban Green Council Seeking Event Space!
Urban Green Council relies on donated event space to host a wide range of high-caliber public programs. We are currently seeking centrally-located spaces in New York City. Ideal spaces will have their own A/V equipment (projector, etc.) and capacity for 50 or more seated people. Donating your space is a great way to associate your company name with Urban Green and to bring the green building community into your office or showroom.  Contact us at events@urbangreencouncil.org for details.
