Tour: Microturbines at Astor Wine and Spirits January 28th at 399 Lafayette Astor Wines generates its own electricity using two natural gas-powered microturbines in their storage cellar. Bruce Beckwith and Cory Glick of RSP Systems will host a tour of the Capstone microturbine technology. Andrew Fisher, president of Astor Wines & Spirits, will discuss the costs and benefits of their commitment to sustainable practices from grape to bottle. 4:15 to 6pm, includes refreshments. LEED for New Construction Technical Review Workshop January 30th at Pfizer This course forges beyond the basics into the intricacies of the LEED for New Construction v2.2 Rating System. Using case studies and exercises to reinforce learning, attendees should already have a firm grasp of USGBC and LEED. Registration for the LEED NC v2.2 exam ends on March 31st, 2009. Full day program from 8:30am to 5pm, includes a light breakfast, lunch, and coffee. Sign up.
LEED NC v2.2 Study Group February 2nd at Acuity Brands Lighting Showroom AIA Continuing Education Credit: HSW 10.0 Feeling overwhelmed? This instructor-led course provides a focused exam-prep strategy. It is required that attend a full-day LEED Technical Review Workshop before taking this course, and bring your copy of the LEED NC v2.2 reference guide.
