Board Election Results

Thank you to the 2009 Urban Green Council Board of Directors for leading us through another successful year. After an election with exceptional candidates last month, Chris Garvin of Cook+Fox Architects and John Rice of AKF Engineers were re-elected to the board. Lauren Yarmuth of YRG Sustainability Consultants joins the board for a first time, as does Molly Garretson Zinzi, who was elected to a new seat representing Emerging Green Builders. The Board also appointed Paul Fernandes of the Building and Construction Trades Council and Pat Di Filippo of Turner Construction Company.

Thanks to outgoing Board members Om Taneja of the General Services Administration, Susan M. Kaplan of HLW International, and Steven Piguet of Sustainable Design Consulting for their years of dedication and service.

Urban Green Council Seeking Event Space!
Urban Green Council relies on donated event space to host a wide range of high-caliber public programs. We are currently seeking centrally-located spaces in New York City. Ideal spaces will have their own A/V equipment (projector, etc.) and capacity for 50 or more seated people. Donating your space is a great way to associate your company name with Urban Green and to bring the green building community into your office or showroom. If your company has a space that fits the description above that you'd like to donate it for an Urban Green event, contact us at events@urbangreencouncil.org.
