Oppositions
Urban Green announces the launch of a new educational series designed to engage the most thoughtful voices in the green building movement on the most current and controversial subjects of the day: Oppositions.
The green building movement is moving forward with enormous speed; whether it is the rapidly changing policy terrain or the many new technologies that reach the market every quarter. As this forward motion accelerates, certain ideas are becoming ingrained in the public mind; some of which are based on common misperceptions rather than actual data and some of which are reduced to their most simplistic, easily digestible aspects. The Oppositions series will expose subjects that require a deeper discussion to be fully understood, and examine performance expectations that are not bolstered by serious research.
The format will be panel discussions, with panelists to include thought leaders from both sides of a given issue to ensure a lively debate. A cocktail reception will precede each program. Following each program, Urban Green will issue white papers, available to members on our web site, detailing the discussions and determinations of the panel.
