Jeff Brodsky, President of Related Management Elected Chairman of the Urban Green Council Board of Directors

Urban Green Council, The New York Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), today announced that it has elected Jeff Brodsky, President of Related Management as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Brodsky replaces Susan D. Kaplan, Vice President of Sustainability of the Battery Park City Authority, who served as Chairwoman in 2009.

Urban Green Council is governed by a 19-person Board of Directors elected from the membership. The Board's primary functions are to establish Urban Green's vision, ensure the organization's financial health and legal compliance, and provide general oversight of the chapter. Many Directors also chair committees and directly participate in programs.

Mr. Brodsky is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York Residential Management Council and the recipient of its 2006 George M. Brooker Management Executive of the year award, the Board of Directors of the National Housing Conference, the National Leased Housing Association, the Realty Advisory Board of N.Y., the Homeland Security Task Force of the Real Estate roundtable, and has just completed a four-year role as the Chairman of the Property Management committee of the National Multi-Housing Council. He is the 2009 recipient of the Institute for Real Estate Management (IREM) NY Chapter Certified Property Manager of the Year Award, and was previously an Executive Committee member of Urban Green
