While sustainability in the built environment remains a relatively new and progressive initiative, there are industry leaders who have been working to promote these goals since they began their careers.  Affecting sustainability at every level, these professionals have a lot to do with making sustainable design the concept that we are familiar with today.

Whether starting a company from the ground up, working through the ranks of a large organization, or making pro bono work into a full time passion, the professional initiatives that the industry's pioneers have demonstrated will continue to serve as case studies for many years to come. Successful business models, design innovations, and advancements in public policy can all be traced back to professionals driven by a vision to do things differently.

On Thursday, October 18, we will hear from a few of the leaders that New York City is particularly proud to call their own.  Please join us for a lively discussion among four professionals who are leading the way in New York City's sustainability industry. Each will share how they got to where they are today, what drives them to continue achieving success, and how today's younger generation can find their own niche within an ever evolving industry.
