Join Urban Green Council's Emerging Professionals for our 7th Annual LEED Green Associate Crash Course.
This Crash Course is a 3 hour lecture which uses a case study of an existing LEED certified building to review the various points of the USGBC LEED rating system and green building core concepts. It will provide a brief overview of the LEED rating system, and is most useful to individuals preparing to take the LEED Green Associate exam. It will also serve to introduce the audience to the LEED Accredited Professional designations.
LEED Green Associate is a credential for professionals who want to demonstrate green building expertise in non-technical fields of practice. It denotes basic knowledge of green design, construction, and operations. You must successfully take and pass the LEED GA exam, as well as fulfill experience requirements to become a LEED AP. The Green Associate credential also serves as the first step for professionals pursuing a LEED AP with specialization.
NOTE: This course does not qualify for or provide GBCI continuing education credits as this is curriculum you need to know BEFORE gaining credentials.
You should attend this course if:
- You're taking the LEED GA exam and want to refresh and solidfy knowledge of LEED core concepts in a classroom setting.
- You're a LEED AP considering adding a specialty (BD+C, O&M, etc.), and want to refresh your knowledge of LEED core concepts before pursuing specialty.
- You want to meet others studying for LEED credentialing, and arrange study groups after the event.
Light refreshments will be served.
