Local Law 87 is one of four laws in New York’s Greener, Greater Buildings Plan enacted in December 2009 to improve the energy and water efficiency of New York City’s largest buildings. LL87 requires property owners to energy audit and retro-commission their buildings every 10 years and submit an Energy Efficiency Report to the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) documenting the results.
To ensure that New York’s building community complies with LL87, Urban Green Council created a User Guide & Compliance Checklist, which is now available to view or download. Complimentary presentations to building industry organizations, building owners, manager, tenants and any group impacted by the new requirements are also available from our outstanding Speakers Bureau.

Attend our next presentation on April 23. To request an onsite presentation at your organization, please send us an email.
